Chateau Nova
We have a rate with the Chateau Nova for $195 +tax per night. To book under this rate, email the hotel and ask to book under the "Thomas-Smith" reservation. The hotel's email is: yellowknife@novahotels.ca
Explorer Hotel
We also recommend staying at the Explorer Hotel, though we do not have a booking rate with them.
Bed and Breakfasts
There are plenty of great locally-operated bed and breakfasts in town! To get the most out of your stay, we recommend booking something within a 20 minute walk of downtown. Katharine's neighbour runs the Sunshine B&B, which still has rooms available (as of May 22nd).
Other
Other options include camping, housesitting, or staying with other folks we know. Please get in touch if you want support finding an option that isn't a hotel or b&b.
Bring yourself! That's the most important part.
Bring sunscreen! Yellowknife in June will be beautiful, we get more sun in the spring and summer than any other Canadian city, so please wear sunscreen.
Bring long-sleeves and bugspray! The weather will be mild, but the bugs will just be starting to come out. We recommend wearing pants and long-sleeves if you plan to be outside for extended periods of time, especially in the evening and night-time. You can pick-up extra bugspray in town!
